However, with recent MacBook Pro releases removing legacy ports, it’s become a little more challenging to connect multiple devices to your MBP. I think they intend to make good products, I am sure it’s improved since 2010, and they were willing to atone for their mistakes. Overall I’d give the company experience a 3.5/5.

They made a customer support mistake, and were willing to correct it. It’s implementation, 4 years ago, was damaging to the macintosh hardware. So what does all of this mean? I loved the concept of the product. Unfortunately, it was too late for me–I had already gotten rid of the device. When I posted that on a review of the Henge docks a year or two ago, they responded indicating how they understood their communication was poor, and they would refund me if I sent the device back. My model at the time, though, had a very significant problem–it knocked my motherboard out of alignment, eventually requiring me to get a new motherboard in my mac!Īt the time, I received communication from Henge that was vaguely ‘sorry bro we can’t help you’. I purchased 2 henge docks back in 2010, so it’s possible they’ve made improvements since then. Source: The sample for this review was provided by Henge Docks. This is a very well made docking station that helps you unclutter your desk and organize cables. The dock could really benefit from having some sort of lever that you could press to disengage the Macbook from the dock to make removal easier. There are two tools, made specifically for the style of MagSafe included with the Macbook Pro. The only concern I have with the horizontal Henge Dock is the electronic docking/undocking feature it has, I don't want to have him invest a good chunk of money on it and it end up failing, the vertical offering has no electronic parts, however appears to not have as many outputs as the horizontal, though that may never be an issue, that being said, I don't want to have the money spent on something that will be at capacity right off the bat.The next step is to place one of the plastic adapter tools over the end of the MagSafe connector.
